BizLink and Becker are the closest comparison in this market. Both engineer dress packs rather than sell them from a catalogue, both build for welding, and both support the full range of robot types. If you are choosing between the two, the difference is scope and architecture rather than capability.
What BizLink offers
BizLink’s robotic cable management range — the business formerly known as Leoni — covers articulated industrial robots, collaborative robots, SCARA and delta robots, gantries and linear axes. Published systems include the LSH 3 and LSH Delta retract systems, LSC, SLS, cleanDP for cleanroom work and B-Flex for lightweight and collaborative robots. For welding they publish heat-resistant and spatter-protected components. They offer technical consulting, spare parts and lifecycle support.
They also publish careDP, an AI-powered condition monitoring service that watches dress pack movement for early signs of failure.
Where BizLink is ahead
On condition monitoring, clearly. careDP is sensor-based monitoring of the pack itself. Becker’s DCDI is documentation and attention tracking — a QR code per robot carrying the spares list, warranty, manuals and history, plus scan-activity statistics. It is genuinely useful, and it is not the same thing. If predictive monitoring of the cable package is what you are buying, BizLink currently publishes the stronger product.
Their published catalogue breadth in SCARA and delta formats is also wider than ours.
Where Becker is ahead
Cell-level scope
A weld cell needs more than a dress pack. Becker supplies the pack, the tip dressing and cap changing, Cool Control coolant monitoring, robot programming, integration and robot refurbishment. One engineering conversation covers the cell rather than the cable package alone.
Change-out time as a design goal
The LHMS is a closed, sealed architecture developed with FANUC that needs no robot-specific adjustment at fitting, with a documented mean time to repair of seven minutes or less for material handling and fifteen minutes or less for carried spot welding. That is an architectural decision, not a service promise, and it is the number we would ask a competitor to match.
Manufacturing footprint
Production in Germany, the USA, Mexico, India and China, with sales and service across Japan, Korea, Turkey and Slovakia.
Honest summary
If your priority is predictive monitoring of the dress pack, look hard at careDP. If your priority is minimising the hours a cell is down and having one supplier engineer the whole weld cell, that is the case for Becker. Both companies will engineer to your application; neither is a catalogue business.
