Dress packs, cables and media management engineered — and validated — for the specific demands of Paint Shop & Sealing applications.

Robots with Becker dress packs — Paint Shop & Sealing application

The paint shop is the least forgiving environment on the line for a reason that has nothing to do with heat or load: contamination. A trace of silicone migrating from a cable jacket causes paint defects that are expensive to find and worse to explain, so everything the robot carries has to be qualified for the environment before it is qualified for the job.

What the application demands

  • Silicone-free materials throughout the cable package, verified rather than assumed
  • Jackets and hoses that will not shed or outgas into the booth
  • Surfaces that clean down without trapping overspray
  • Sealing and dispensing media delivered at stable pressure
  • Documentation that satisfies the plant’s own contamination controls

How Becker builds for it

Silicone-free as a specification

Becker’s primary conductor family is silicone-free to VW PV 3.10.7 — the paint-shop specification — alongside halogen-free construction, oil class 3 and flame ratings to NFPA 79 and IEC 60332-1-2. The Connectronix data and power range is likewise built lead-, cadmium-, CFC-, halogen- and silicone-free. This is a material specification with test evidence behind it, not a claim on a datasheet.

Hose that belongs in a booth

The push-in PUR hose program is specified paint-safe and flame-retardant, in the same family used across the rest of the cell, so a booth does not need a separate hose inventory.

Sealing applications

Paint shop sealing — seam sealing and underbody application — is an application Becker dresses regularly. The dispensing media, the heating where the material needs it, and the tool data all run in one engineered package. See also gluing and sealing.

What we do not supply

Becker supplies cable management, hose and integration. We do not supply paint applicators, bells or the explosion-protected equipment used inside a paint booth, and our temperature-controlled hose assemblies are expressly not rated for explosive atmospheres. If your application is the applicator itself rather than the routing and sealing around it, we will say so rather than quote it.
