Robot Integration & Commissioning

Robot integration means taking a production problem — a weld, a transfer, a dispense — and turning it into a cell that runs it reliably for years. Becker Robotic works as an integrator for the major robot manufacturers, plans the application with in-house simulation, and builds the cell around what the process actually needs.

Applications we integrate

  • Welding and joining
  • Material handling and machine tending
  • Palletising and packaging
  • Assembly
  • Inspection and testing
  • Dispensing, gluing and sealing
  • Cold joining
  • Material removal — deburring, grinding, polishing
  • Special applications built to a single process

How an integration project runs

1. Application study

Cycle time, reach, payload and access are assessed against the real line before anything is quoted. If the process will not hold the cycle time you need, we would rather say so at this stage than at commissioning.

2. Offline simulation

Reach and cycle time are proven in software, so the first time the robot moves is not the first time anyone has checked that it fits. Simulation also settles the cable routing, which is where retrofitted dress packs usually go wrong.

3. Build and integration

Controls, electrical, mechanical, safety and software engineering sit in one team. Panels are built and wired in-house, and the cell is run in our own facility before it ships.

4. Commissioning and handover

Site installation, safety assessment, operator and maintenance training, and documentation written to survive the person who wrote it — drawings, I/O lists, program listings and a spares schedule.

Robot brands

We integrate FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa and Stäubli robots, and collaborative robots where the application suits one. The choice follows the process, not a preferred supplier agreement.

Sectors

Automotive and tier suppliers, medical device manufacture, logistics and e-commerce fulfilment, and general industry. Cells destined for clean-room and washdown applications are specified for those environments from the outset.

A note on vision and process equipment

Where an application needs machine vision, force sensing or third-party process equipment, we integrate the manufacturer’s system. Becker Robotic supplies the hardware, the integration and the energy supply — not the vision software.
