Robot Training Cells

A training cell has one job: put a real industrial or collaborative robot in front of someone who is learning, without the plant, the guarding project or the risk. Ours arrive pre-programmed, on wheels, and narrow enough to go through a standard doorway.

Intuitive and adaptable

Sample programs are preloaded so a class can run something on day one. The gripper and workpieces are supplied with the cell, and the application packages can be configured to the syllabus rather than the syllabus bent around the cell.

Agile

A ten-metre power cable and a safety door mean the cell can be placed where the teaching happens. The gripper is pre-mounted and the work surface is aluminium profile, so the cell can be modified as the course develops.

Space-saving

The cell fits through a standard doorway, moves on wheels and sits on stabilising feet in use. A room does not have to be rebuilt to hold one.

Three levels of complexity

Primary

Preprogrammed modes, basic operation, jogging and teaching. Enough to get a group confident with the pendant and the safety system.

Intermediate

Adds a conveyor, a grinding station and HMI work, so the robot has to coordinate with something other than itself.

Advanced

Tool changing, vision systems and RFID part detection — the parts of a real cell that turn a program into a process.

Who they are for

Technical colleges, universities and vocational training centres, and manufacturers running in-house upskilling who would rather not take a production cell out of service to teach on it.
