Refurbished Industrial Robots

A refurbished robot is only worth buying if someone has proven it still holds repeatability under load. Ours are stripped, serviced and run for a minimum of ten continuous hours at full payload before they are signed off — and you get the report, not just the assurance.

You can buy a reconditioned unit from us, or send us your own robot for the same process.

Evaluation and testing

  • Pre-power-up inspection of cables, connectors, motor caps, fans, switches, pushbuttons, seals and PC board connections
  • A minimum of ten continuous hours of repeatability, durability and backlash testing at full rated payload
  • Post-test mechanical and electrical inspection
  • A written evaluation report released with the robot

Controller refurbishment

  • Cabinet cleaned and heat exchanger serviced
  • PCBs removed and cleaned, connector contacts cleaned
  • Fan filters and cooling fans replaced
  • Backup battery replaced
  • Memory board cleared on request
  • Teach pendant function-tested

Mechanical refurbishment

  • Lubricants replaced to OEM specification
  • Robot mastered where applicable
  • Contact pins and plugs cleaned
  • A minimum fifty-cycle verification run before release

What refurbishment does not fix

If a reducer or a harness is beyond service life, it is replaced rather than cleaned and passed on. Where a unit fails evaluation and cannot be economically brought back to specification, we say so and stop — a robot that will not hold repeatability is not a saving.

Arriving ready to run

Because the same team dresses the arm, a refurbished robot can arrive with its energy supply already engineered and fitted for the application it is going into, rather than carrying the routing from whatever cell it came out of.

Ask what is available, or send us the model and serial number of a robot you want evaluated.
